Derek is a highly experienced trainer, facilitator and coach with a wide experience of working within the UK and international business and public service environment. As a retired senior police officer, a sociology graduate and a holder of a PGCE, he specialises in providing training and consultancy relating to security, risk, investigation and governance within commercial and public service environments to support increased security and the reduction of vulnerability. He has undertaken extensive contracts in the UK and Europe supporting the development of professionalism with regard to all aspects of intelligence gathering, analysis, probity and governance. He is an engaging presenter and motivational speaker with the ability to draw upon significant experience, case study and practical examples to improve professionalism, integrity and performance.
