Everyone in all organisations is asked to do more. For many the constant pressure to achieve more within the working day is a significant source of stress. Making better use of the time available would seem to be the answer. One answer to increasing effectiveness lies in individuals developing improved and enhanced competence at organisation.
This one day professional development event encourages delegates to plan effectively for each hour of each day and to give priorities for key aspects of their work. Delegates will identify those “time pirates” which steal so much of their day. In addition to saying “no “ more effectively, delegates will develop strategies to deal with interruptions and their own capacity to procrastinate. The course concludes with the delegates constructing action plans to change their behaviour in the workplace.
Key objectives
On the successful completion of the course, delegates will be able to:
-
plan their workload more effectively
-
identify, quantify and resolve procrastination
-
deal with interruptions effectively and 'get on with it'
-
identify time wasters and 'time stealers'
-
do more, be more effective and 'get in front' (not behind).
